Uno de los más visitados destinos de viaje que atrae a personas y los hace soñar despiertos, es seguramente el estado estadounidense de California. Las ciudades más importantes del estado son Sacramento, la capital, Los Ángeles, la más grande, y San Francisco. No hay tantas cosas que conocer en Sacramento. Los Ángeles, junto con sus grandes producciones, se ha convertido en la cuna del cine moderno. Es muy interesante por sus barrios llenos de estrellas mundiales, como en Hollywood o Beverly Hills. Algunas curiosidades de la ciudad son el ‘Hollywood Sign’, la Sala de Conciertos "Walt Disney", el "Teatro Chino" y el "Hollywood Boulevard". La segunda ciudad más conocida del estado es San Francisco. Los lugares famosos de la ciudad son el Puente "Golden Gate", la Pirámide "Transamérica", los viejos tranvías, su "Chinatown" y la isla de "Alcatraz".
La naturaleza también tiene una gran importancia en el valor del estado. En efecto, hay varios Parques nacionales en California. Los más conocidos son "Yosemite" – denominado Patrimonio Mundial de la Humanidad en 1984, reconocido por sus ríos cristalinos, saltos de agua y la gran diversidad biológica –, "Kings Canyon-Sequoya", que tiene los seres vivos más largos del mundo – los "Sequoyas Gigentes"– y el "Valle de la Muerte" que es el segundo lugar más caliente del hemisferio occidental (récord de 56,7°C).
Todo esto ilustra de manera perfecta la riqueza humana y natural de esta región la cual todo el mundo tiene que conocer una vez en su vida,y al mismo tiempo visitar los estados vecinos de California.
